Rochester coffee shop closes after short run in North Winton Village

Pandamonium Coffee House, a cozy operation at 686 N. Winton Road in the North Winton Village, has closed after 1 1/2 years in business, it announced on Instagram.

Owner Angela Liu was born in New York City, moved to Rochester as a teen and attended boarding school in China. The shop was inspired by her visits to coffee shops in varied places, and she wanted to create a communal space where people could relax that didn’t revolve around bars and alcohol.

When Pandamonium opened in the summer of 2024, the neighborhood didn’t have a coffee shop. Since then, two more have opened: Clownboy Coffee at 1978 E. Main St. and Little House at 2320 E. Main St…
