TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a man’s body was discovered in an empty parking lot on Friday, Dec. 12.

The man, identified on Monday as 34-year-old James McClendon Jr., was found in the 2700 block of 18th Avenue East shortly after 11 a.m., TPD said.
