Crews battle 2-alarm fire in East Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Fire Rescue crews are battled a structure fire in East Tampa on Tuesday.

Firefighters were called to the 800 block of East Baker Street at 10:30 a.m.

Crews arrived to find a single story house was fully engulfed in flames, with flames visible between nearby homes. A second alarm was called due to the intensity of the fire.

TFR said firefighters switched to a defensive attack due to the instability of the building. They searched the adjacent homes for occupants…
