Popular streamer sued for $1M after attacking viral Texas ‘Rizzbot’ on camera

Austin is swarming with content creators, and a robot is among the Texas city’s most recognizable figures as it stalks the streets looking for content that can go viral. There are tons of videos of folks interacting with the “Rizzbot” and watching the modified Chinese-engineered 3-foot-tall Unitree G1 model humanoid robot trip and fall. Since its debut earlier in the year, the cowboy hat-wearing Rizzbot has graduated to Los Angeles, California, the influencer capital of the world, to stake its claim as the premier robot social media sensation.

Despite the ambitious move, everything hasn’t gone perfectly for the Rizzbot, who experienced a rough go of it at the hands of a popular streamer. The owners of the Rizzbot are suing popular content creator IShowSpeed for assaulting and damaging the robot beyond repair in a viral clip cut from Speed’s stream.

The creator of Rizzbot, Social Robotics, LLC, has filed a $1 million lawsuit against the streamer (real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr.), Mixed Management, and Ames Ward. Speed allegedly got “intentionally physical with Rizzbot,” according to the firm’s suit…
