Woman killed during shootout with SWAT team in Bryant

BRYANT, Ark. – A woman is dead after police in Bryant said she was involved in a shootout with authorities Monday night.

According to the Bryant Police Department, officers said dispatchers received a call from a man saying he and his wife had an argument at a home in the 1100 block of SW 4th Street.

Police said the man told officers that his wife had fired shots at him inside the home, but he was able to exit and call 911.

After getting an arrest warrant, authorities said they responded to the home to take the suspect in custody. After arriving, officers said she refused to come out of the house, which prompted the SWAT team on scene.
