ICE use ‘chemical irritants’ as Minnesota residents feel ‘war’ has broken out on their streets

A violent confrontation between ICE agents and Minnesota residents broke out on Monday afternoon.

Things in the state have been steadily escalating over the past few weeks, following the arrival of ICE. The agents have caused widespread fear amongst immigrant communities there. On Monday, in South Minneapolis, dozens of residents confronted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents operating in the streets near Lake Street and Pillsbury Avenue.

The furious locals started whistling and screaming before running at the agents mid-operation, according to a WCCO reporter at the scene. The reporter said she saw people pushing and shoving, and when she made her way to the center of the crowd, she found a woman being held by agents, face down on the ground…
