Residents of northwest Oregon won’t get a break from the atmospheric river that arrives Dec. 15, according to the National Weather Service’s Portland office.
NWS said the region will face a series of atmospheric rivers through the week, bringing wind, rain, snow in the Cascades, and most likely flooding by the end of the week.
Rain previously predicted to last through at least Dec. 18 is now expected to last through at least Dec. 21, NWS said. As a result, NWS has placed the Willamette Valley and the Portland metro on flood watch for Dec. 18 to Dec. 20, and the coast on flood watch for Dec. 17 to Dec. 20…
