Seeing an image of an alligator in Idaho was not on my bingo card. Surprisingly, that space is still open on my bingo card.
An alligator in the Spokane River? Not quite…
North Idaho News posted to their Facebook & Instagram page about an alligator photographed in the Spokane River in Post Falls.
“An alligator has reportedly been located in the Spokane River near Kiwanis Park in Post Falls. The sighting has been reported to 911, and the gator does not appear to be alive at this time. If it is real, it was likely a dumped pet.” – North Idaho News Facebook”

I’m going to take you through my thought process when I first saw this post. First, I said to myself, “North Idaho News has to be a satire news outlet. No way this is real.”
After looking into it, North Idaho News looked credible with user-submitted news. Then I thought, was it AI? It didn’t look AI, but it’s difficult to tell the difference nowadays…
