HONOLULU (KHON2) — Two hikers have been stranded overnight off the Kuliʻouʻou Ridge Trail below the Koʻolau Summit Trail, Honolulu Fire Department officials said.
The stranded tourists, a man and a woman in their 30s, were first reported to HFD shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. HFD and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services reported to the scene.
First responders worked throughout the night, but conditions made the mission too hazardous for a safe rescue.
