Dec. 16 (UPI) — An animal services officer in Virginia came to the rescue of a red fox that spent several hours stuck between the wooden slats of a fence.
The Fairfax County Animal Shelter said on social media that an officer responded to a report from a concerned resident about a fox with the middle of its body stuck in a wooden fence.
The shelter said the fox is believed to have been stuck for several hours before the rescuer arrived.
“Our officers safely freed the fox and consulted with professional rehabilitators to address the injuries to their rear legs,” the post said…
