BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham City Council on Tuesday approved the installation of new Flock Safety cameras as part of the city’s continued effort to expand its public safety technology and support police investigations.
Under the resolution, the mayor is authorized to enter into a Right of Way Encroachment License Agreement with Flock Safety, allowing the company to install two pan-tilt-zoom cameras and two license plate reader cameras in the Rockford neighborhood. The cameras will be placed near 653 Rockhurst Drive, 700 Rockford Circle and 825 Rockford.
