Hoover police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Highland Manor Court shortly after 9 a.m. on Dec. 16. Authorities said the Hoover 911 center received a call at 9:03 a.m. after a family member discovered a husband and wife unresponsive inside the home. When first responders arrived, Hoover Fire-Medics pronounced both adults dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

Police confirmed the woman was former WBRC Fox 6 sports reporter Christina Chambers. A 3-year-old child was also found inside the residence and was unharmed. Officials said the child was safely removed from the home. It comes after a Telemundo Super Bowl reporter was killed earlier this year…
