TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Brian Michaud, head of RedFin Construction MTC General Contractors, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on multiple charges related to unfinished work following last year’s hurricanes, the Bradenton Police Department confirmed.
The questionable jobs were first reported in Better Call Behnken investigations in July and August.

Michaud was taken into custody after a traffic stop. Authorities said he collected tens of thousands of dollars from mostly senior citizens in the Seabreeze Mobile Estates community in Manatee County.

A spokesperson for the Bradenton Police Department confirmed the charges, which include:
- 10 counts of contractor presenting the license of another
- One count of aggregated white-collar crime with an elderly victim
- One count of misappropriation of construction funds totaling more than $100,000
- One count of scheme to defraud
Multiple homeowners contacted Better Call Behnken in August, claiming they paid Michaud directly after Hurricane Milton damaged their properties, but the promised repairs were never completed…
