‘Shame on you:’ Public chastises school board attendance policy change

SARASOTA — Despite concerns of shrinking the First Amendment rights for students, the Sarasota County School Board voted 3-2 to approve advertising a revised attendance policy Tuesday.

The vote does not officially change the policy. It simply approved the policy revision to be advertised to the public for feedback.

It will come back for an official policy change vote at a later date, though a unified decision on the revision is still missing from the School Board…
