Free Bikes 4 Kidz distributed refurbished bikes to children on Saturday, Dec. 13, in Detroit. Kids picked out their own wheels like they were shopping at a real store. Helmets came with each one.
Bob Barnes runs the nonprofit. “They get to shop for a bike as if they were at a bike shop,” said Barnes, according to ClickOnDetroit. “They get sized for a helmet, so they’re going to get a helmet, and they get to take that bike home today.”
