JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY)– A person is hurt following a fire Friday night in James City County.
According to officials, crews were called to the 200 block of Charter House Lane at 4:32 p.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. Neighbors told 911 operators the fire was on the garage side of the home and that the resident had already evacuated.
When crews arrived, they found significant fire in the attached garage. Crews quickly extinguished the fire in the garage and moved inside to check if it extended into the living space.
