ORLANDO, Fla. — Community leaders and local officials gathered outside the Orange County Administration Building on Tuesday to raise concerns about the growing number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees housed at the Orange County Jail.
Members of the Immigrants Are Welcome Here Coalition and local faith leaders were joined by Orange County Commissioners Kelly Martinez-Semrad and Nicole Wilson during a press conference to address what they described as escalating immigration enforcement impacts across Central Florida.
