JENSEN BEACH – I’m just going to throw this out there – I love Christmas shopping. I love the hustle and bustle of the crowds, the department stores showing off their holiday finery and the Christmas carols being played. But shopping does make me hungry. On a recent shopping trip to the Treasure Coast Square, we decided to take a break and popped into one of the two restaurants anchoring the mall, Port Barna.
Port Barna Spanish Restaurant offers more than simply Spanish foods. They offer a cultural tapestry of foods, authentic cuisine from around the globe including Mediterranean, Italian, French, Greek and Moroccan. The restaurant itself is charming and cozy and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
The menu is considerable with options for appetizers, lunch and dinner. We really wanted to try a variety and chose the Tapas Sampler. This was served on a large wooden board and included three Croquettes, two Empanadas, a Plantain Basket, Tortilla Espanola, Hummus Toast, Manchego Cheese, Prosciutto and Olives…
