In light of the tragedy that took place on December 13 at Brown University, Roger Williams Park Zoo is opening its gates to offer a moment of comfort and escape for those affected. From now through January 4, students, staff, and faculty with a valid Brown University ID will receive free admission to the zoo.
That free access includes regular daytime visits as well as entry to the popular Holiday Lights Spectacular in the evening. Each Brown ID holder is also welcome to bring one guest along at no cost. Visitors simply need to present their Brown University ID at the Zoo’s admission gate. No advance registration required.
The zoo isn’t alone in stepping up during this difficult time. The City of Providence’s Parks Department is also offering free admission to members of the Brown community at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center and the Museum of Natural History & Planetarium.
