Roanoke citizens speak out against casino during council meeting

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) Roanoke city leaders made waves across the city two months ago, when they announced the possibility of bringing a casino to the Berglund Center.

During Monday’s city council meeting, dozens of residents came for public comment to say no to a casino.

“It is bad for those who cannot afford to gamble, who have a gambling addiction and they come from all walks of life,” Botetourt County resident Ralph Jones said…
