Florida wakes up to a rare winter jolt as cold air presses deep into the Panhandle and Big Bend. Temperatures hover near 34 degrees in Tallahassee, but wind chills dip as low as 16 degrees, creating dangerous conditions early.
According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. The advisory covers much of North Florida, where prolonged exposure could be hazardous without proper clothing.
