Precious Hamilton, 15, of Crum Lynne (Ridley Township), was ordered to stand trial on charges of third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a minor, and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with the alleged fatal shooting of Baseem “Seyven” Baker, 17, of Jenkintown on October 6, The Pottstown Mercury reported.
Hamilton was charged as an adult due to the violent nature of the alleged crime. A preliminary hearing took place this week, and Hamilton will face a formal arraignment hearing early next year, The Mercury said. Third-degree murder carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 to 40 years in prison. A conviction of involuntary manslaughter carries a possible maximum sentence of 2.5 to five years in prison.
The incident took place in the 100 block of York Road, after which officers found Baker deceased from a gunshot wound on the bedroom floor. Abington police said in October that Hamilton had been at the Baker’s family residence for three days prior to the incident…
