Texas leaders confront rising antisemitism in state, Central TX amid global tragedy

AUSTIN, Texas — In the wake of a deadly mass shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, which claimed 15 lives during a Hanukkah celebration, voices within Texas’s Jewish community are speaking out against antisemitism.

Jackie Nirenberg of the Anti-Defamation League emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating antisemitism, stating, “A place that you know of is a community of warmth and welcoming and belonging, and we still believe it is. We just have to stand up to those few individuals.”
