CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Water presented plans at Tuesday’s City Council meeting to create a new Far-Field Advisory Committee focused on reviewing the proposed Inner Harbor desalination plant and studying its potential impacts on the ship channel, Corpus Christi Bay and Nueces Bay.
City officials said the committee is intended to bring together a diverse group of community members and experts to provide transparency and public involvement surrounding a project that has long been controversial in the Coastal Bend.
