Armed robber of Lubbock Subway receives 8-year sentence

LUBBOCK, Texas–Zayven Constancio, 25, pleaded guilty to Aggravated Robbery of a Subway back in April. He was sentenced to 8 years and 238 days of jail credit.

Constancio was arrested after officers found that he matched a description of a man who robbed a Subway.

According to witnesses, Constancio entered the subway and ordered a sandwich before pulling a handgun on the server. Witnesses indicate Constancio said, “Give me all the money” and forced the server to take him to the back to the register to collect the money before leaving.

Officers searched the area after being provided with a photo of the suspect and the weapon and found Constancio with a handgun in his waistband and a backpack with medical masks, a black zip up hoodie and black pants, which matched the clothes that were worn by the suspect at during the robbery…
