74-year-old woman hit walking across southwest Omaha street

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A woman was hit by a car while crossing the street on Tuesday morning in southwest Omaha.

She was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution, authorities told First Alert 6 at the scene.

Rescue personnel were dispatched to 186th and Q streets at about 9:45 a.m. Douglas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeremy Welsch told First Alert 6 that the woman was alert and talking with them at the scene.

There was also a crash at this intersection — less than two miles from Millard West High School — at about the same time on Monday, though that incident did not involve a pedestrian…
