NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans City Council is scheduled to vote Thursday (Dec. 18) on a plan that supporters say will reduce power outages in the city through a new grid of batteries.
The plan involves the council — Entergy New Orleans’ regulator — approving the use of $30 million in ratepayer funds to administer grants to New Orleans residents seeking to buy batteries.
