St. Louis woman guilty in infant’s abuse avoids prison

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis woman who admitted to abusing an infant, sending videos of the acts and even texting that she felt an “adrenaline rush” from it will avoid jail time if she completes probation, a judge ruled last week.

On Dec. 12, a judge sentenced Emma Rigdon, 22, to five years in prison after she pleaded guilty to two counts of abuse or neglect of a child. The judge ordered the sentences to run concurrently.

The judge also ordered to “suspend the execution of sentence” and place Rigdon on three years of probation. If she completes probation without any violation, the case can close without incarceration, according to Missouri court procedures…
