The Weaubleau Marching Tiger Band headed to Springfield in 1982 for the annual Christmas Parade.
Tom Pennington resurrected Weaubleau High School’s marching band, which had been dormant since 1965. He transformed the band program from 13 students to an ensemble of 68 (half of the high school’s enrollment).
Marching through Locust Street, Commercial Street, South Street and downtown Springfield, the band braved 17-degree temperatures and a few slight mishaps during their performance…
