DC police searching for 3 French bulldog puppies stolen at gunpoint from Northeast apartment

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An investigation is underway in the District after armed suspects stole three puppies from an apartment on Benning Road over the weekend, according to police.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it all started at around 7 p.m. on Dec. 14, when officers responded to the 1500 block of Benning Road NE for a reported burglary.

At the scene, a woman told officers that she was inside her apartment when three people knocked on the door. That’s when another person who was inside the apartment opened the door, and the three unknown suspects allegedly rushed through the entrance, pointing guns.
