ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Greg Matyas says he’s not usually a patient man, but when it comes to getting stolen merchandise back in a timely manner, he simply had no choice. He had to wait more than seven years.
Matyas’ store, Speedway Cycles, had a break-in in June 2018. Matyas estimates the thieves took about $75,000 worth of merchandise, including nine high-end bikes.
According to Matyas, the bikes were recovered about two weeks later in an Anchorage storage unit when the owner of the storage company, Art Davis, had a hunch, found the bikes and alerted police…
