Why Fake $100 Bills Are Showing Up Across Michigan

Police say three men were allegedly printing fake money out of a Detroit home, and it wasn’t some small-time operation either. Investigators believe the counterfeit $100 bills were passed at nearly 50 businesses across Southeast Michigan.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, the investigation started back in November after Canton police noticed a spike in fake $100 bills turning up at several local businesses.

That’s when Canton police teamed up with Plymouth Township, Northville Township, and the U.S. Secret Service to track the fake bills. Their investigation led them to a house in Detroit…
