16-Year-Old Arrested for Attempted Murder in Canton Shooting, Victim Hospitalized in Boston

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a shooting incident that left a young woman severely injured in Canton, Massachusetts. The teen, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, faces an attempted murder charge for the violence that unfolded last night, as per reports from NBC Boston.

The shooting took place shortly before 7 p.m. near Lamplighter Village apartments at Turnpike Street and Stagecoach Road where the woman was discovered after suffering a gunshot wound while inside a car. Authorities issued and then later lifted a shelter-in-place order for residents of nearby areas such as the Canton Woods Apartments and Lamplighter during the course of their investigation.

Following the incident, the victim, a woman in her 20s, was transported to a Boston hospital where she is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries. The authorities managed to apprehend the suspect by 6 a.m. Tuesday morning without any further incident…
