Investigators looking to ID second suspect accused in attempted robbery that escalated to shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police said it needs help identifying a second man allegedly involved in an attempted robbery that escalated to a shooting last month.

Officers released photos of the person they are looking for in connection with the Nov. 17 crime that happened at a gas station. Police said a little after 7:30 p.m., they were called to the 6400 block of Covington Highway after receiving a report about two people shot.

Officers said one of the people hurt was the victim. He was located on an adjacent street, Cove Lane, with non-life threatening injuries and taken to the hospital. Police believe the other person who had been shot, 19-year-old Tristyn Mays, was involved in the attempted robbery. Mays died from his injuries…
