Over 30 Memphis schools to be without custodial services starting Jan. 1

Over 30 Memphis-Shelby County Schools school buildings could be without custodians after winter break, following board action on cleaning contracts.

During a special-called meeting on Dec. 15, the Memphis-Shelby County School Board voted against a custodial contract with ABM Industries. ABM Industries services, in total, 35 schools in the district’s Northwest region.
