NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Metro Council resolution calling for accountability inside Nashville’s Department of Emergency Communications (DEC) is moving forward amid an ongoing investigation into workplace concerns.
The revised resolution passed overwhelmingly Tuesday night, with 35 votes in favor and one abstention.
Councilmember Joy Styles says the resolution responds to what she calls a “toxic workplace culture” inside the department, following months of complaints from current and former 911 employees.
