1 Person Killed and 3 Others Left in Critical Condition After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Busy Freeway

One person reportedly died and six others were injured after a multi-vehicle crash on a Southern California freeway over the weekend.

Emergency crews responded around 8 p.m. local time on Sunday, Dec. 14, to a collision on the westbound 210 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, according to CBS News and NBC Los Angeles.

The crash happened near Sunland Boulevard in the Shadow Hills area, the Los Angeles Fire Department told CBS News. Firefighters arriving at the scene reported at least four vehicles were involved. One person was pronounced dead at the location; the victim has not been identified.

Officials said one person declined medical transport, while five others were taken to the hospital with a range of injuries, CBS News reported. A 61-year-old woman and two men, ages 30 and 40, were described as being in serious condition, according to CBS News…
