CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – Police do not suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found in a wooded area off Chatham Parkway earlier this month, according to the Chatham County Police Department.
The autopsy has been completed, but the cause of death cannot be determined until toxicology results are available, police said.
Body discovered by passerby in December
The body of an adult male was discovered by a passerby just before noon on December 1, 2025, in a wooded area off Chatham Parkway near Ogeechee Road. Chatham County Police Department officers responded to the scene and began an investigation.
Police had said a positive identification and cause of death would be determined by autopsy, which was scheduled for later that week.
