Wilmington Police Charge Two Drivers Following Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrian Malachi Albino

Following intensive investigation by the Wilmington Police Department’s Special Operations Division Traffic Unit, a recent fatal collision in Wilmington has taken a turn with the identification of the victim and charges levied against two drivers involved. The incident, a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, occurred on the night of November 28 at the intersection of West 4th and North Scott Streets, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Malachi Albino, as confirmed by police.

Initial findings revealed that Albino had run onto the roadway, directly into the path of oncoming traffic; however, the drivers of the two vehicles that hit him have been charged not for the collision itself but for actions following the incident. Victoria Goral, 31, faces several charges including “Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Death” and “Obstruction of Justice/Tampering with Evidence,” she was later arraigned and released on a $2,200 secured bail, Gabriel Devere, 50, has been charged similarly and was released on a $3,050 unsecured bail, according to details published by the Wilmington Police.
