Superheroes visit Shriners Children’s St. Louis for holiday cheer

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Superman, Batman and Catwoman made a special visit to Shriners Children’s St. Louis on Tuesday morning, bringing holiday cheer to young patients and their families.

The superhero visit was organized by Heroes for Kids, a group founded more than a decade ago by Lonnie Johnson, who portrays Superman. Johnson and other volunteers make stops throughout the metro area, but Shriners holds special significance for the group’s founder.

Johnson was born with a leg and foot deformity and was a patient at Shriners in the 1970s…
