Boise contractor arrested for grand theft after taking payments without finishing work

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise Police Department reports that, over the last few months, at least three victims attempted to hire the same contractor linked to multiple business names, including Idaho Decks and Exteriors.

Police say, in each case, the contractor took a down payment from the victims, typically half of the job cost, but the work was never completed. Officers contacted the suspect, 31-year-old Seth Wooddell, and on Dec. 16, 2025, he was arrested on three counts of felony grand theft and booked into the Ada County Jail…
