Man accused of threatening to shoot up Atlanta airport terminal to receive psychiatric exam

ATLANTA — The man accused of traveling to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport intending to commit a mass shooting has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination.

Court filings indicate there was a pretrial scheduling conference earlier this month where prosecutors consented to the defense attorney’s motion for a competency examination. The judge has now signed off on it.
