COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — An east Columbus house fire that left three people dead and two others injured has been ruled a murder-suicide, according to a released autopsy report.

According to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, an autopsy report states that the death of 25-year-old Cheikh Dieye was ruled a suicide when he died due to injuries sustained in a fire set in the 2900 block of Freedom Trail, which happened on Nov. 18 at around 2:15 a.m.

Dieye was pronounced dead due to “thermal injuries and smoke inhalation” caused by the blaze, which also killed his parents, Safietou Diop, 57, and Mame Dieye, 61. Also injured were a toddler, who was reportedly thrown out of a second-floor window, and a woman who jumped from the burning home…
