Harrisburg council rejects mayor’s proposed pay raise, cuts key positions from budget

Harrisburg’s 2026 budget is headed to the mayor’s desk for final approval after city council approved it Monday.

Council made major personnel changes to the mayor’s initial budget proposal, including voting down pay raises for Mayor Wanda Williams, council and other city staff, and eliminating funding for several director positions. There is no property tax increase.
