MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – The Monks Walk for Peace continues as the group stayed in Demopolis, Alabama on Tuesday, December 16th, where John Essex High School hosted them.
A community member said that John Essex was a man of deep faith, and because of his faith and stewardship, he was able to give back to his community.
Some of his descendants have since purchased this land and school, which is part of the original acres owned by John. It is meaningful to see it continue to be a place of faith, service, and community…
