Roommate who pleaded for help arrested in deadly San Jose hit-and-run

A South Bay woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in San Jose, as a grieving family searches for answers about what led to the death of a 29-year-old man over the weekend.

Police were called shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the 4900 block of McCoy Avenue, where officers found a man lying in the eastbound lane with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the San José Police Department.
