SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Another day in the murder jury trial of Charles Alexander Teeple is underway. Teeple is on trial for the 2019 assault and murder of Bruce Helmly.
On Wednesday, the prosecution called Dr. Alexis Gage as an expert witness. Dr. Gage is a board-certified acute care surgeon who has worked at Memorial for the past 13 years.
Dr. Gage was on call the day Helmly was brought to the ER. During her questioning, Dr. Gage stated that she did not have a recollection of every patient she had attended to, but had reviewed Hemly’s medical records…
