WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -The Wilmington Fire Department (WFD) has added a new member to its Crisis Response Facility Dog Team.
London has joined the department’s program to help firefighters manage stress after emergency calls, reduce tension at the station and lower anxiety levels.
According to WFD officials, facility dogs in the program provide comfort during emergency situations both at the fire department and at emergency scenes in the community.
