Jackson homeowner injured in early morning house fire

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson homeowner was injured during a house fire.

The fire occurred at a home in the 2800 block of North Wabash Street just before 5:00 a.m. on December 16, 2025.

Early morning fire damages popular Jackson bar

Division Fire Chief Charles Felton said crews saw flames and smoke coming from the home when they arrived at the scene. They were able to extinguish the fire, and a fire investigator was requested. According to Felton, the homeowner received a minor burn.

He said the investigation revealed that the fire was caused as a result of electrical activity and will be classified as accidental. No other injuries were reported.
