Two men arrested in Rockford for crack cocaine and handguns after traffic stop

ROCKFORD, (WTVO) — Two men were arrested during a traffic stop after Rockford Police located handguns and crack cocaine.

According to Rockford Police, Deandre Johnson Jr., 19, and Camareon Curtis, 19, were taken into custody after a traffic stop was conducted near 18th Street and 9th Avenue. Two loaded handguns and over 40 grams of crack cocaine were recovered around 11:40 p.m during the traffic stop on Tuesday, Dec. 16th. say officers.

Johnson Jr. and Curtis were placed in the county jail, facing multiple charges by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, including aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and no valid FOID…
